Roger Gorvitz is an Occupational Therapist who is experienced in providing Sensory Integrative Therapy. He earned a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY in addition to a Bachelor's in Exercise Science and Adapted Physical Education with a minor in speech from Brooklyn College. Roger is certified by the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and is licensed by the State of New York and New Jersey in Occupational Therapy. He is certified in Therapeutic Listening and has taken many continuing education courses to advance his clinical skills and has a variety of certifications.
Roger Gorvitz has been working as a pediatric Occupational Therapist since 2009 servicing Brooklyn and Staten Island, NY. Roger has experience working in pediatrics ranging in ages 0-21 in a sensory based outpatient clinic, specialized schools, and home care settings. He has experience working with children with sensory integration dysfunction, fine and visual motor delays, and ADL training. Roger also believes it is important to not only work with the child, but to also collaborate with and educate the family in order to achieve a positive therapeutic experience.
